WHY BAMBOO FLEECE INSERTS?

Each TUTI nappy comes with two ultra absorbent inserts that are made of four thirsty layers. One insert is bamboo fleece and the other is hemp/cotton blend. We created our nappies like this so that you do not have to buy extra inserts like you do with many other nappy brands or styles. When you buy one TUTI you are fully armed with a quality nappy and two quality inserts.

Our bamboo fleece inserts are custom created with snaps, to snap to each other and into the nappy at the front or the back if you like. The insert is 80% bamboo with 20% being a synthetic fleece weaved through the bamboo to increase its durability and also to increase its absorbency.

Bamboo is a sustainable and planet friendly resource used in clothing (due to a number of desirable qualities) and many other industries. Bamboo is known as "thermal regulating" which makes sure that you are warm in the winter and cool in the summer. These properties are especially desirable to use with babies. Bamboo will wick moisture away, making it ideal in the warmer weather. Bamboo also breathes. This makes it a very comfortable fabric to have against the skin. 

Other features that make bamboo a great insert option are that bamboo is anti-bacterial. It contains a naturally occurring agent that prevents bacteria from breeding, which makes it odour resistant. In addition, it is hypollergenic. Bamboo's natural smooth organic fibre has traits that makes it non-irritating to the skin which makes it ideal for people with allergies or sensitive skin. A key feature is that bamboo is incredibly absorbent. It is known as one of the most absorbent natural fibres available - making it ideal for nappies.

Hemp is also an amazing natural fibre which is super absorbent. Because it holds so much moisture, it can take longer to dry. This is why we blend the hemp with a cotton, to ensure your inserts are very absorbent but also fast drying.
